What Are Fatty Alcohols?

Natural fatty alcohols are based on palm kernel oil, coconut oil etc. The most common production of fatty alcohol is by producing esters of fatty acids which further goes into the process of hydrogenation and then goes into fractionation/ distillation giving us different types of alcohol. They can be colourless or light yellow oily liquids or waxy solids.
